Welcome to the DeLand High chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society! The Voces Unidas chapter was founded during the 2007-2008 school year thanks to its sponsor, Señora Jendrzejewski (pronouced yen-jay-ev-ski), and it has been growing ever since.

The goal of the Spanish National Honor Society is to promote cultural understanding and diversity (not just with regards to Hispanic culture but with all cultures and people from all walks of life) and to help our community.

Just to give you a little more background information "The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and Portuguese and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Formally organized as the Spanish National Honor Society in 1953, the name was changed in 1959. At present there are over 2,000 national and international chapters."
